BAILEY BLOCK PLANE.Fine plane. Cast iron, wall thickness 3 mm. From the front: STANLEY cast sliding plate, 47x42x4 mm with 6 mm thread, fitted as a mouth adjuster from 1-4 mm. Inside marked "S B" in cast. Above it is the adjustment sheet metal arch with bolt and clamping screw, bronze head Ø 22 mm. Side walls 3 mm, rounded upwards in the middle, with oval grip hollows on the outside. Behind the mouth, sole reinforcement, cam with 7 mm thread, and four wall struts. Blade cap screw serves as a guide for the strongly curved iron adjustment lever with 11 mm roller. Double cam for the iron adjustment lever, 35x2x14 mm, and its lateral guide. The adjustment lever is pivoted and has two 1 mm cams that engage the iron at the bottom, and a rear 5 mm slot that grips the edge of the fine adjustment nut Ø 25 mm made of bronze. At the very back is a small threaded cam in the casting for the 30 mm long 7 mm screw for the adjustment nut. Blade cap plate, 97x41x0-27 mm, rounded at the back with a slot and clamping plate with a small lever.
Iron: 41 mm with 35x11 mm slot and 10 adjustments at the bottom. Bevel on top at 45°, angles: < 20° = 65°
