Side edge plane. Cast iron box. The plane part on the right is vertical, and the sole on the left is 22 mm wide. The outer wall on the right, front 50 mm high with a 6 mm edge at the bottom and 11 mm at the top, widens to 20 mm and becomes a curved 37 mm wide handle at the back. Below that, on the right surface, the mouth is 3x30 mm, open at the bottom, and stands at a 60° angle to the vertical. Iron stop, 30x15 mm. At a 15° angle to the plane surface, a double console with a 5 mm thread in the middle rises. Above, a bent adjusting lever with a cam below the retaining rivet adjusts the plane iron. On the left side, at a 90° angle, the side stop is 24 mm wide, reinforced at the top with 3 ribs in the cast iron. The stop is fixed but has two 4 mm holes and can be shortened from 24 to 1 mm with wooden inserts. A cap, 55 mm long, 27 mm wide, with a 4.5 mm thread at the top, and a 17 mm long large-head screw with WW 55° 28 G thread. The cap retaining screw is 19 mm long with a 5 mm thread, WW 55° 24 G 3/16 7/32" (see The Stanley Plane pages 111 and 112).
