Double iron plane. Cast iron body, sole 5 mm, sidewalls 5 mm. From the front, No. 4½ cast iron. Boss Ø 13 mm, 11 mm high with 5.5 mm thread WHITWORTH 55° 20 G ¼", located in the center with a deep groove Ø 30 mm inside. About 60 mm long threaded rod with two 15 mm long threads WW 20 G, with bronze slotted head Ø 11 mm, which holds the 6.8 cm high wooden handle Ø 2.2/4.3 cm. In front is a 16 mm thick crossbar 3-5 mm thick, 80 mm from the front. Mouth 4.5/64 mm. Frog sole recess 121-130 mm from the front and 18 mm high in two lateral parts, 18 mm long. Between them is a cast dome with a 6.5 mm thread and a 25 mm long screw with a head Ø 11 mm and a holding groove of 2.5 mm. In front of this is a V-shaped step leading to the small center piece of the mouth. Behind it is "MADE IN ENGLAND" in cast. At the back, the wooden handle 8.5x2.5x11 cm projects 10 mm, attached with an 8 mm high cast iron support with a short and long screw.
The frog top side flat at a 44° angle, 123 mm long, 60 mm wide with 11x19 mm slot below, above two 25 mm wide by 23 mm deep horizontal round recesses with a 7x16 mm slot. Above this, a 5 mm deep recess with a hole 14x10 mm and another 3 mm recess for the lateral adjuster. Beside it is a 1 mm long indentation. All around are about 4 mm wide bands, ground flat. The lateral adjuster is 85 mm long, 9-6 mm wide, with "STANLEY" written on it. The sliding roller engages the iron adjuster at 12 mm. Between the three recesses is the 7 mm lever cap screw. Further back, above the horizontal surface, is a 2.5 mm slotted plate 23x17 mm screwed down with a slot in the holder of the frog adjuster. Above this, the iron adjuster with a 5 mm long, 7 mm threaded rod with a left-hand thread, bronze nut Ø 32 mm, 21 mm long, finely knurled, with a sliding groove 8 mm long. Inside, the 35 mm long fork of the iron adjuster runs. With two 19 mm long 5.5 mm screws and 55° WHITWORTH 20 G ¼" thread, the frog is slidably mounted on the baseplate, about 10 mm movable. The lever cap is 119/147 mm long, 59/21 mm wide with (kidney hole) slot and "STANLEY" underneath in the iron. Above is the lever cam on a 48x18 mm steel spring.
