Double iron plane. Front: 30 mm raised, 4 mm thick steel sole, fastened with ten countersunk screws.

Top edges rounded, mouth for shaving ejection, wooden wedge. Sides curved along the length but flat. Mouth opening: 11×40 mm.

Iron: 35 mm (1⅜″)    Cutting angle: 47°
Mark: MARSDEN BROTHERS (near shaft)
Inscription: SHEFFIELD WARRANTED CAST STEEL
Cap iron: 37 mm, U.S. type thread in bronze
