SHOULDER PLANE (for end grain). Fine plane with bronze side walls, 3.5 mm thick, and a 5 mm sole soldered in two parts. A 5 mm plate (33×39 mm) is inserted at the front.
Above the mahogany inlay and below the iron are two bronze strips, each 31 mm wide and 6 mm thick, measuring 90 mm and 144 mm in length, fastened with two bolts passing through the sides. The front mahogany inlay is 14 cm long and held by a continuous bolt. The rear inlay is 10 cm long with a recessed wooden screw serving as the iron bed.
The top is wave-laminated several times, with bronze and mahogany precisely fitted. The mouth is 2.5 mm wide.
Iron: 38 mm (1½″), shaft 25 mm, top bevel approx. 20°, bed angle approx. 20° → total about 40°
