Fine plane, similar to a Stanley No. 4. Wooden front knob is 6.1 cm high. The sole and side walls are 4 mm thick. Mouth opening measures 7×50 mm. The frog (iron bed) is fastened by two screws set into a slot. Fine adjustment occurs via two guide slots and a pivoting block.

The adjustment knob is bronze (Ø 26 mm) with an internal thread in the frog. A 6 mm screw with left-hand (reverse) thread goes into the pivot block. That pivot block engages an 85 mm lever cap, which uses a 12×11.8 mm plane-iron screw. The rear handle stands 170 mm high, slightly shorter than the double iron, and the lever cap is about half as long. The wooden rear handle extends 100 mm above the base.
