The sole projects forward. The front horn is angular, while the back is bulbous and curved. The chip ejection opening is cut out at the front and also slightly from the top side. The plane uses a wooden wedge. Edges are chamfered, and decorative carvings include two “eyebrows” and a ring.

The sole has a curvature with a radius of approximately 15 cm. The iron is 30 mm wide, old style, slightly angled, and tapers toward the top. The cutting angle is about 50°.

The marking is under a double-headed eagle and reads “HERMAN” along with four illegible lines.
