Precision plane, open on the right side. The body is cast iron, marked “STANLEY.” It features a wooden front knob (Ø 1.7/2.8 cm, 3 cm tall). The crossbar is angled at 21°, 11–14 mm high, curved toward the chip opening.
On the right is a threaded lug for the side wall pin, using a 10 mm long, 4.5 mm screw with a 10 mm Whitworth thread (55°, 30 G). Behind that is a 3 mm mouth, sloped at 21° from right to rear.
A small rib follows, with a central lug and a 22 mm long, 5 mm screw (Whitworth 24 G, 3/16 in) for the cap iron. Behind that is a U-block (32 mm long, 19 mm wide, 11–21 mm high) with a 14 mm guide groove matching the iron’s angle. The guide has a left-hand thread at the rear.
The iron adjustment block (23 × 19 mm, 12 mm high) has a knurled area that engages with the back of the iron. Below is a 10 mm deep threaded lug with a left-hand thread, receiving a 49 mm long dual-thread screw (20 mm with 5.0 mm Whitworth 28 G thread, and 19 mm with 6.5 mm left-hand thread, knurled Ø 26 mm).
To the right is another lug and screw for the removable right side wall (168 mm long, 8–31 mm high, 2 mm thick sheet metal) with two 12 mm long, 5.5 mm lugs. The mouth and iron are exposed here.
The lever cap (cast, 277 mm long) has a slotted hole for the screw and a rounded back forming a hollow cast handle. Inside the hollow is a 14 mm long threaded lug, with a 21 mm long, 6.5 mm WW 18 G (5/16 in) screw, with a Ø 40 mm knurled head and four 10 mm holes.
Iron: 41 mm wide, bevel on top, 34 mm shaft. The cutting angle is approx. 22°. The back of the iron features a knurled area for adjustment.
