Spokeshave – Cast Steel Type

Made from a curved steel casting, approximately 240 mm long, 30 mm wide, and 2–8 mm thick. In the center, there's a curved section (about 80 mm long) with a downward radius of 2 cm. At the front, a 80 × 5 mm recess, and in the middle, another milled-out section measuring 50 × 14 mm.

On both sides, 15 × 55 mm cutouts provide grip access. The handgrips curve downward, are about 70 mm long, and 22–25 mm wide.

Above the central 80 mm recess is a 90 mm wide iron arch, attached with two screws in slots that allow adjustment. This arch functions as a chipbreaker. Sliding it in the slot adjusts the cutting depth.

Iron: 50 mm cutting width. It is attached to an 80 mm long steel band, fixed on both sides with two screws.
