Side Rabbet Plane – Very Old Design

Made with a bronze plate that includes both the tongue and chipbreaker. Two cutouts are present: one at 13 mm, angled at approximately 30° for the iron, and one at 12 mm vertically for the clamping bracket. The plate measures 12 × 41/35 mm, with a thickness between 2 and 5 mm, featuring a hole and a 4.5 mm oval-head screw – both in bronze.

The threads follow Whitworth 28G and DIN 1.0 standards. The turned wooden handle is 6.3 cm long, with a diameter tapering from 1.7 to 2.6 cm. The plane cuts to the left.

Iron: 12 mm wide, with a double bevel (top and bottom), cutting angle approximately 15°.

Condition: Good. Very old construction.
