Mitre Plane – Precision Smoother

Cast iron body with side flanges tapering from 3 mm at the front and rear to 7 mm. The front has a round finger grip (Ø 3.1/1.8 cm, 3.7 cm tall) secured with a screw. The mouth is 55 mm from the front, measuring 3 × 42 mm.

At the rear, the interior is 25 mm wide with 6.5 cm side walls. Behind that is a 12/13 mm cast addition (25/30 mm tall), with the front edge acting as the iron bed. Above it, a 4 mm steel rod serves as the wedge support for the wooden wedge.

The cap iron is made of bronze (105 × 42 × 5 mm), straight for 30 mm, bent up 25 mm, and rounded at the back. Below it, a 12 mm bolt (18 mm long) is soldered with 6 mm internal thread. A 6 mm iron rod (Ø 39 mm) with a 22 mm screw clamps the iron in place.
