Bullnose Rebate (Cornice Plane)

Made from a 10 mm steel plate, hollowed for the chip opening and slots for the wedge and iron. The chipbreaker is 8 mm thick, and the mouth measures about 1 mm. Each side features three small recesses (1 mm deep) with a ribbed background; the middle recess bears the Preston signet.

The front is beveled at the top and curved inward, while the rear is 32 mm vertical.

Iron: 10 mm wide (⅜ in.), with a 3 mm shaft
Bevel on top: approx. 20°
Cutting angle: 20° bed + 20° bevel = about 40°
