Small Smoothing Plane – "Shallop" Form

Features a rounded cylindrical nose at the front (Ø 2.2 cm), flowing over the chip opening and wooden wedge into a curved back rising 0.4 cm above the sole. Both sides are slightly convex and each contains a bronze inlay fastened with five screws. The top is lightly carved. The sole is flat and reinforced with a 13 × 24 mm bronze plate at the mouth, secured with two screws.
