Bench Plane with Wood Screws – Right-Handed
Edges rounded on top, ends rounded. Fore plane with a 2.2 cm deep cut on the right for the fore iron, with a 40 mm long threaded rod Ø 6.2 mm, DIN 1.25, bronze head Ø 20 mm. Corresponding nut with an additional external thread is screwed into a 1.3 cm hole in the plane.
Wedge-iron hole and chip opening are both 35° bevel. No depth stop. Side fence 2 cm wide, same outside dimension as the plane but strongly rounded at the edges, glued 25.8 cm long, 6.3 cm wide, 1 cm thick board.
Fence is the long free board side. Two 2.3 cm holes carry the wood screws, screwed into the plane body, externally 12.5 cm long with ball heads. Thread Ø 2.2 cm outside, 1.9 cm inside, pitch 3.7 mm. Lock nut 1 cm Ø 5.6 cm. Clamping nut Ø ¾ inch, 4.5 cm long.
Plane cutting width 1 to 3.8 cm.
Iron: 45 mm, beveled, shaft 13 mm, cutting angle approx. 45°. Marking: WEISS & SOHN WIEN Fore iron: 22 mm pointed, cutting angle 90°. Marking: Eagle on clamp.
Condition: Conserved, practically unused.
