Rabbet Plane

Planes on the right. Made from two parts glued together, 3 cm high at the top, 3.5 cm at the bottom. Top edges slightly rounded. Chip opening, wooden wedge, and iron at 20° bevel. Rear beveled 3 cm wooden pin as hand guard. Right side flat, after 5.9 cm with 0.9 cm step, 0.6 cm above sole as depth stop.

Two cm before mouth, a 1.2 cm deep, 1.1 cm wide recess at opposing angle 100°, half-inserted a 5 mm iron 55 × 19 mm with 7 mm thread and 18 mm long cylinder head screw Ø 13 mm for forecutter.

Left side the lower wooden part of the plane body projects 7 mm with concave rounding on top. One cm above sole at 14.7 cm distance, two 1.6 cm deep, 1.9 × 0.6 cm wide grooves for adjustment nuts. One is a 14 mm square nut.

Two 8 mm screws with 13 mm heads clamp the fence to the sole. Fence made from bronze 212 × 10 × 7 mm angle with 39 mm long extensions with 8 × 26 mm slots. This produces a cut width between 3.5 and 5.5 cm.

Iron: 58 mm bevel with 92 mm long chip breaker and point in the rounding. Marking: Eye GOLDENBERG ACIER FONDU A...IE.

Blade: 58 mm with two 11 × 12 × 6 mm knobs with 8 mm thread, 90 mm long screw with drilled cylinder head Ø 11 mm guided at the tip.

Forecutter: 11 mm bevel, cutting angle 100° = 10° backward.
