Plane A - top in photograph

Bronze Body. Wooden Insert. Weight: 125 grams
L = 8.4/10 cm, W = 2.2 cm, H = 0.8/2.1/4.5 cm

Smoothing plane. U-shaped bronze body, 2.5 mm wall thickness. Flat and rounded on both sides at the top, two notches. Iron cap: 30x16/7x0 mm, 5 to 6 mm thick, with 4.5 mm thread and 20 mm long screw with knurled head Ø 10 mm. Fastened on a bronze rivet. Wood inserts at the front in a square shape, 1.4x1.1 cm, at the back as an iron stop, with a 0.9 cm wide saw grip worked out, with an oval hole and a long tip toward the back. The wood is secured at the front with one rivet and at the back with two side-through rivets. The sole is flat, chip hole at the top. Mouth: 5x17 mm.

Bronze Body, Wooden Filling, Weight: 100 grams
L = 6.8/8 cm, W = 2.2 cm, H = 0.7/2.4/1 cm

Smoothing plane. U-shaped bronze body, 2.5 mm wall thickness. Flat on both sides, the top front is 11 mm straight, curved out and rounded, and the back is 28 mm straight and beveled. Iron cap: 31x16/9x0 mm, 6 mm thick with 5 mm thread and 17 mm long screw with a knurled head Ø 10 mm. Fastened with a through-going bronze rivet. Wood insert at the front, pagoda-shaped, 1.3x1.6 mm. Rear filling as an iron stop, with a 0.9 cm wide saw grip worked out with an oval hole and a long tip toward the back. The wood is fastened with three side-through rivets. The sole is flat, chip hole at the top. Mouth: 5x17 mm.

Bronze Body with Iron Sole, Weight: 225 grams, Wooden Filling
L = 7.3/9.5 cm, W = 3.3 cm, H = 0.3/2/3.5 cm

Fine-front wood plane. Box made of 3 mm bronze, 17 mm high, rounded at the back, with a plate 27x17 mm soldered in front. Sole made of 3 mm iron plate, 95x33 mm, protruding 9 mm at the front and 8 mm at the back, soldered with bronze in two parts. Iron cap: 37x26x0 mm, top edge broken at 6 mm, with 5 mm thread for the 17 mm long 5 mm screw with a knurled head Ø 11 mm for clamping. The cap rotates on a side-through bronze rivet. In front, a wooden insert of 1.5x2.6x1.7 cm is fixed with a bronze rivet. At the back, there is a tapered wooden wedge, loosely inserted as an iron stop. Chip hole at the top. Mouth: 2x6 mm.

Plane D - centre bottom in photograph

Bronze, Iron Sole, Weight: 120 grams, Wedge and Insert made of Walnut Wood
L = 7.7/10 cm, W = 1.1 cm, H = 2.8/3.7 cm

Smoothing plane with bronze body. The front is wedge-shaped, and the back is 6 mm wide to hold the iron and the wooden wedge. A bronze rod is soldered in front (5 mm visible at the top), and a bronze wedge at the back. Both serve as rests for the wedge and iron. The top is 9 mm at the front and 11 mm at the back, with a 7 mm overhang in the middle, bent upwards. Flat 2 mm bronze sheet is connected on the left and right with four rivets. The chip hole runs through. The sole is reinforced with 2 mm iron. Mouth: 3 mm.

Iron: 11 mm, shaft 5 mm (inserted upside down) with bevel inserted on top.
