Shelf-Strip Plane

Used for planing the narrow support strips for shelves inside cabinets. Cuts to the right, working against the grain. On the narrow side, four firmly attached guide strips approx. 2 × 3 cm, length variable.

Top and right side with worked guide faces 25.9 × 5 / 5.4 × 1.1 / 4 cm and 25.9 × 3.2 × 0.8 / 1.2 cm. Edges lightly rounded.

Left side flat; from 7.8 cm downwards chamfered 1.6 cm at 60°, forming a 1.2 cm high vertical fence for the upper shelf seating cut.

Right side under the guide strip flat for 4 cm, with open slots for the irons, recessed 0.3 cm for a 1.1 cm high depth stop defining shelf height. To the left of the iron, a 0.9 cm shoulder for the narrow strip surface. Cutting face at 60°. The 1.2 cm vertical fence determines the exact distance to the next step/shelf level.

Iron: 29 mm, ground at a slant; cutting angle ∠ 47°.

Scoring Cutter: 7 mm, point-ground; cutting angle ∠ 90°.
