Cooper’s Plane (simple grooving plane)
Cuts to the left along the right edge of the cask stave. Body curved lengthwise, radius 45 cm. Top flat, edges rounded. Wooden wedge and shaving slot. Right side flat, transitioning into the curved sole after 4.5 cm. Left side flat for 6.3 cm, with a 150 mm long, 12 × 5 mm curved flat iron fixed beneath as a side fence with two screws.
Iron: 43 mm (39 mm exposed); cutting angle ∠ 48°.
Marks: eye symbol; GOLDENBERG; ACIER FONDU A. GARANTIE.
Inscription: “JOHANNES SCHABER Farben Werkzeug Maschinen”.
