Coachmaker’s Round-Over Plane

Body bent sideways. Top edges partly chamfered. Wooden wedge and shaving slot. Front rounding upward Ø 2.8 cm, projecting approx. 4 cm. Rear rounding downward Ø 3.2 cm, projecting approx. 8 cm. Sole fitted with a 3 mm rounded bronze plate, secured with six bronze screws.

Iron: double iron, 42 mm, American pattern; cutting angle ∠ ≈ 55°.

Marks: square frame (partial) with G and sun symbol; GARANTIE STEINER.
