Coachmaker’s Scribing / Edge Plane

Body with side curvature (radius approx. 10 cm). Wooden wedge. Front and rear strongly rounded. Front grip approx. 4 × 2.5 cm, rear grip approx. 6 cm long and 3.8 × 3.1 cm, with 0.5 cm bore. Both sides reinforced with double dovetail insets. Shaving slot runs through on the underside. Sole rounded lengthwise on both sides, reinforced with a 1 cm wooden wear strip.

Iron: 46 mm; shafts 24 mm and 9 mm; cutting angle ∠ 63°.
