Coachmaker’s smoothing plane. Shell-shaped form with flat sole. Front rounded to Ø 1.9 cm, curving back with moulding profile. Rounded front and back up to 0.5 cm above the sole. Shaving opening carved at the front with a wooden wedge on top. Sides flat and slightly curved lengthwise. In the flat sole, a small bronze plate (8×18 mm) is inlaid as a mouth guard.
