Coachmaker’s plane – groove plane. Body 1.8 cm wide; front block 3.8 cm long, rear 2.9 cm, with a 2 cm deep flat recess 4.1 cm long between them. Within this are the openings for the shaving passage, iron, and wooden wedge. In the sole, a two-part 1.5 mm steel plate, 112 mm long and 15 mm high, is let in as a tongue. On the left, a fully nailed-in 0.8 cm board runs the entire length, strongly chamfered all around. The tool is lightly decorated.
