Cast-iron double iron plane. The body has 3 mm wall thickness and a 10 mm sole. Front slightly, rear strongly curved. Sides flat with three screws on each side, one screw at the back. Top 3 cm straight, with a 7.3 cm fillet curve and rounding at the rear. In front, a wooden inlay 2.3/3.4×5.1×5.8 cm with rounded edges. Shaving aperture in front of the wedge bed: bronze block 50×48×5/9 mm, recessed 30 mm in the middle, with side thickened areas tapped to take two lateral screws. At the rear, a rounded wooden infill fitted to the casting and fixed from above with two screws.

Iron: 45 mm (1¾″) — Cutting angle: ∠ 48°

Markings: WARRANTED above figure T, I SORBY, CAST STEEL SH-IEL(D?)

Cap iron: USA type — Marked SAAC GREA… WARRANTED
