Cuts to the right. Two irons and wooden wedges fitted on top. A third iron is missing, though its slot is present. Edges rounded. Right side has a wooden strip (24.4 × 1.2 × 3.1 cm), with a cove and step below, glued in place and grooved. Below that, a 3.6 cm flat section with two shaving holes. Left side flat with shaving slot. Bottom side fence 1.2 cm wide and 0.5 cm high. At the rear, the wood is cut at a 45° angle over 2/4 cm. This 45° cut-out allows comparison of the profile at a 90° mitre joint of a frame.
