Cooper’s scribing plane
Chorreisser. Cuts on the left. Plane and fence connected by three wood screws, adjustable from 1.5 to 6 cm.

Plane body: Lower (right) piece flat, with three wooden wedges. Top flat, underside flat with shaving slot, and two threaded holes Ø 1.9 cm for the outer wood screws. Sole reinforced with a bronze casting, fixed by eight screws, with a 10/3 mm rebate, 9 mm tall. Carries the main iron and two scoring cutters.

Fence (Anschlagplatte): Mass side upper surface chamfered with small decorative carvings. Three threaded holes (1.8 cm deep) accept the wood screws. Two long adjustment screws, 19.5 cm, Ø 1.8 cm (inner 1.3 cm), each with a turned handle 7.7 cm long. One clamping screw 0.5 cm longer. Thread pitch 3.9 mm. Fence-to-iron distance adjustable from about 1 cm to 5.5 cm.

Blades:
Main iron: 10 mm wide – cutting angle ≈ 60°.
Two scoring cutters: 8 mm wide – cutting angle ≈ 5°.

Condition: Conserved.
