The side fence consists of a wooden board 37 × 8.8 × 1.9 cm, chamfered outward and downward at the bottom and upward at the rear. Two drilled holes Ø 1.9 cm and one threaded hole Ø 1.5/1.9 cm. Two internal wooden screws Ø 1.5 cm, 25 cm long, with a thread pitch of 7.5 mm. On the right side of the plane body these screws have heads 2 cm high and Ø 3.4 cm. Two finely turned wooden nuts Ø 2.5/3.9 cm and 6 cm long are used to adjust the side guide. Between them is an additional wooden screw with the same thread and a decorative head, used to lock the set width from 1 to 15 cm.
