Cooper’s Plane. Grooving plane (jabloire). Cuts to the left. The body cuts on the inside right with a 1.7 cm longitudinal rounding. Three wooden wedges secure two scoring cutters and the main iron. At the rear is a saw-style handle (15 × 10.5 × 2.4 cm) with a 7 × 4 cm hand hole, set 5 cm into the body.
The underside is flat with a shaving slot below and a 12 cm long square bar (2.6 × 2.6 cm) rounded on the outside edge to serve as a hand grip. The upper face is flat with two square guide bars like those underneath, 15 cm long at the front and 19.5 cm at the rear. The sole (left side) has a 1.7 cm wide rebate, 1.3 cm high, with a radius of approx. 35 cm.
The fence (upper mass) consists of two sections, 7.6 cm and 3–4.5 cm wide, with triangular cut-outs to accommodate the square guide bars. Two 120 mm long, 9 mm screws (metric 60°, DIN 13/14, 1.5 mm pitch) with perforated ball heads secure the assembly. Square nuts are recessed into the left (outer) section. The left curved segment is nailed on. Distance from iron to fence adjustable from 1 to 13 cm.
