Household plane. Cheese plane.

Two vertical side cutters, 1.5 cm wide and 5.5–6.5 cm high. At the rear underside a recess 18.5 cm long and 2 cm high; at the front a recess 4.5 cm long and 3 cm high. At the top rear, between the side boards, a 1.5 cm thick board 13 cm wide is screwed in place (left side 11 cm long, right side 20.5 cm long). The sloping side is strongly chamfered underneath over a length of 3.5 cm.

In front of this is an approximately 190 mm long, 30 mm wide iron set at an angle of 27°, clamped beneath two half-round battens 46 cm long and 1.8 cm wide fixed to the side boards. In front of the iron is a movable wooden plate 1.5 cm thick, 13 cm wide and 19 cm and 28 cm long.

On each side, two iron plates (18 × 25 mm, 2 mm thick) with 5 mm studs engage into 40 mm long, 6 mm wide slots in four iron slotted bars (60 mm long, 17 mm wide) set into the side walls at a 45° angle. Underneath at the front is a wooden base 1.6 cm thick, 7.4 cm long and 18 cm wide; at the rear it is rounded over 4.5 cm.

Mounted on this is an iron socket with threaded adjustment, fixed with four screws. The entire assembly is screwed together from below through the side boards. A 113 mm long, 10 mm diameter screw with a special lead-screw thread (rib width 1.2 mm, slot 2 mm wide, core diameter 7.3 mm, pitch 2.8 mm) is fitted, with two 1 mm thick iron wing plates (26 × 18 mm) at the front and three 18 mm washers (riveted) at the rear.

Beneath the movable support board a 3 mm thick iron angle (45 mm long, 19 mm wide) is screwed on. The downward-projecting angle arm (50 mm long) has an 8 mm wide, 30 mm long slot and lies between the washers two and three. Turning clockwise raises the support plate. A cutting thickness from almost zero up to about 2.5 cm is possible.

Below the base plate, a transverse wooden insert 2.6 cm long and rounded underneath (2.4 × 1.6 cm) is let in, with a 0.5 cm dovetail groove. This small piece is chamfered underneath at the sides and can be withdrawn. Purpose unknown.
