Plough Plane for Bookbinders. For cutting the book spine. The rough book can have a maximum of 4.5 cm spine thickness. With this plane, the rough book (without cover) must be clamped differently than in a conventional bookbinding press. Total length of the plane 75 mm. Plane part 22x14.8x7 cm. Upper edges rounded at the front and chamfered at the back. In the middle there is a 17 cm chamfer and laterally 17 mm holes for the two guide rods. The wood screw has a diameter of 19 mm, inside 14 mm, thread rise 4.6 mm with a total length of 17 cm and a long handle with a diameter of 3.5 cm. A piece of wood 8.5 cm long is recessed into the body from above, fixed with a small screw from the front. The sole is flat with a blade of 55x20x5 mm fixed with two screws. The cutting surface is 6.5 mm above the sole. In the shooting position, the length of the plane is 3.9 cm. The plane is flush with the sole. The plane has a continuous groove, 1.1 cm wide, 1.2 cm deep. In the middle, the thread of the wood screw and on both sides are the 14.5 cm long, 1.6 cm wood guides pressed in.

Blade: 18 mm wide, 3 mm thick, 75 mm long, cutting angle 0°.

Conserved.

Condition: Good. The construction is somewhat fragile.
