Bench stop.
The support legs are missing. Two square holes approximately 2.1 x 2.3 cm. In front of the spanlock decoration pagoda. Wooden wedge. Jaw 6.2 x 0.7 cm, with reinforcement inlay 7.7 x 6.8 cm made of wood.
Iron: 60 mm in wedge shape, the back 45 mm hand-forged. Cutting angle: 47°
The jointer bench is placed at the back in a notch and set in front of a bench and fastened with a bolt. The blade of the iron is at the top. In front, it stands on two pointed legs, which are longer than the height of the bench. The wood to be planed (e.g., barrel stave) is easily pushed over the jointer bench by hand from above.
The described jointer bench is notably small. There are ones several meters long, with iron widths up to about 250 mm, from 30 x 35 cm wooden beams.
The jointer bench replaces certain planing tasks that a workbench does.
