E.C.E. “PRIMUS” Plane (patented). Finely adjustable by hand, without the use of a hammer. Cast-iron body with wooden handle, designed for precise setting of the shaving thickness via an internal screw mechanism. The plane iron is drawn forward or retracted smoothly using an adjustment screw acting through a pull rod and cross pin system, allowing accurate depth control and lateral alignment.

The iron can be removed and reinserted without disturbing the overall setting. The adjustment system allows the cutting edge to be set parallel to the sole by turning the regulator left or right. Once set, the clamping nut secures the iron firmly in position. The construction is intended to provide consistent results with minimal effort and high repeatability.
