PROFILE MEASURING DEVICE.

On a 15.2 cm (6") width, approximately 750 bronze strips (103 mm / 4" long, 0.1 mm thick, 2.2 mm wide) are movable between two iron plates (103×8.5×2.2 mm) bundled together.

These are held laterally by two iron plates (59.2×13×2.2 mm).

Two aluminum beams (202×35×17 mm), connected by two 6 mm screws in the rounded sides, hold the entire assembly together.

Under the nuts (⌀ 26 mm), a spring is mounted over the 6 mm thread to allow the bronze feelers to slide without the assembly falling apart.

Plastic inserts are placed between the bronze and aluminum clamps.

When pressed vertically against the wood, the device records the profile.
At the cutting angle (L) of the plane iron used, the necessary grinding angle of the plane iron is determined.
