Grooving Plane with Wood Screws
Right-handed. Body is a complex cast iron piece measuring 235 × 33 × 58 mm. Inserted into the middle of the sole is a divided 2 mm iron bed measuring 206 × 20 mm. Sole is 32 × 2 mm continuous for 231 mm with mouth 35 × 24 mm.
Above is a 1 mm wide rib extending to the rounded outer edge (Ø 31 mm) with a 25 mm hole for a wood screw. Rear has 2.5 mm thick side walls, chip opening, 5 mm cap iron hold-down bolt, and a 46° angled iron bed.
Below is a 25 mm hole for the rear wood screw. Rear slanting 4 mm thick back wall with rib for mounting the wooden handle. Iron cap measures 80 × 25 × 13 mm with 7 mm oval head screw.
Side fence is wood, 23.4 × 1.9/2.7 × 8.5/4 cm. Two 2.3 cm holes with 0.6 cm deep 6.5 cm diameter recesses for adjustment nuts. Side fence rail is 23.6 × 1.4 × 3 cm, nailed on.
Wood screws 10 cm long with 6.5 cm threads, outer diameter 2.1 cm, inner diameter 1.6 cm, thread pitch 5 mm. Adjustment nuts 6 cm diameter, 1.2 cm wide; clamping nuts 5/2.2 cm diameter, 2.6 cm wide. Depth adjuster right has a missing screw; two angled lugs hold it.
Iron plate below is 18 mm thick, angled. Wall is 115 × 40 mm with two holes and three angled 7 × 23 mm sliding slots.
Depth stop adjustable from 0.1 to 1.6 cm; side fence adjustable 0 to 3 cm (excluding the nailed rail). Rear wooden handle modified from a saw handle, finger hole altered to 3.5 × 2.5 × 10 cm.
