Bevel plane. Two separate cast iron parts on a 50° inclined sliding surface, 105x52 mm with 19 mm wide, 2 mm deep groove and tongue, which can be slid upwards in the 40 mm long slot in the base part: 150 mm long, 90° angled part with a 5 mm flat sole on the side, with the 50° inclined sliding surface with groove at the front. At the back, a 2 cm overhanging wooden handle. STANLEY on the left, No. 72 cast on the right underneath.

Plane part: Flat sole, 50 mm long. 50° bevel, 98 mm long with tongue, blade clamp screw, and 6 mm thread above it. At the front is the wooden round knob Ø 2.2/4 cm, fastened with a bronze screw. The cap is 78 mm long, 41 mm wide, with 6 mm thread and the 25 mm long, 6 mm screw, old style head Ø 21 mm clamps the blade. A bronze long wing screw Ø 43 mm with 5 wings holds both parts together. Flat bottomed, the plane can also be used as a smoothing plane.

Iron: 41 mm with 24x11 mm slot and above it 10 grooves, 2 mm wide, 14 mm long. Cutting angle: 50°
