Rabbet Plane

Body is flat on top, 2.9 cm wide. On the left underside, there is a step and a 3.1 cm wide section, both rounded, tapered, and precisely joined with a 23.4 cm long strip that’s 4.7 cm wide. Right side is 5.9 cm wide, tapering down toward the plane’s front, with a 40 mm angled pocket where nails can be driven as a scoring cutter. Above that is a 0.7 cm beech strip (23.4×4 cm) with two round-head screws as a makeshift depth stop. The board has a large open cutout on the left and two side notches (0.5×2.5 cm) serving as a depth adjuster (from 0 to 2 cm). The sole is 15 cm long at the rear, then extends the full length (30 mm longer) toward the front. A side fence is adjustable with a 6 mm screw, from 0.5 to 1.2 cm. At the rear, a 5 Rappen coin from the year 1915 is embedded, presumably as decoration. The mouth is about 1.3 cm adjustable.

Iron: 21 mm wide, shaft 8 mm, set at ~30° skew
Cutting angle: ~47°
