Household Plane – Ice Shaver (Rabot à Glace)
Ice plane for shaving crushed ice from sawn blocks taken from frozen lakes or brewery ice blocks. Holds about 250 grams in the shaving compartment – ideal for preparing drinks, filling ice buckets, or as fresh ice for fish and seafood.
The container has a lid and a capacity of around ¼ liter. The front is an open U-shaped housing. At the rear is a 50° sloped back panel acting as the iron bed, with two lugs at the top sides fitted with 3 mm wire serving as a lid hinge. The wall thickness is 3 mm.
The lid is slightly curved lengthwise, bent down at the front by 7 cm at a 50° angle, closing neatly over the shaving body. The rear panel is about 20 mm tall and 39 mm wide, also with lugs acting as a hinge. The sole is flat, measuring 117 × 55 mm. The mouth is 7 × 45 mm, positioned 95 mm from the front. The rear wall includes a slot for the 6 mm round-head screw securing the cap iron.
The iron is 54 mm long, protruding 2 mm, with a 50 mm blade width and a hole for the screw. The cap iron measures 35 × 40 mm and has a 6 mm thread.
Condition: Very good.
Inscription: RABOT A GLACE.
