Compass Bullnose Plane – Ship Cornice Style

Cast iron body. The chip ejection opening and 9 mm iron screw head secure the blade laterally. A very narrow depth stop (0.2 cm wide) is present.

On the left: a glued wood strip (27/23 × 0.7 × 3.4 cm). Below it, a second wood piece (27 × 1.3/1.5 × 5.2 cm) is attached with three screws, including the chip slot. Inside, another wood insert (27 × 0.8 × 1.8 cm) is screwed in place at the 1.5 cm mark.

These layered wood strips allow the side fence to be extended 0.8 cm outward by trimming, or both pieces can be removed entirely by unscrewing.

Irons:

  • Right: 12 mm wide, cutting angle 49°
Marking: AUX MINES DE SUEDE, ACIER FONDU
  • Left: 18 mm wide, 10° skewed, cutting angle 49°
    Marking: PEUGEOT JACKSON
