Rabbet Plane – Oval Form

Upper edges broken, chip opening. Sides scooped out at top. Wooden wedge angled on the upper side. Sole has a tip at the front removed at a 90° angle. Side lengths 2.2 cm. No mouth adjustment or chipbreaker. Desired edge width is adjusted solely with the iron.

Iron: 30 mm wide, tapered shaft 4/2 × 185 mm, bevel on bottom. Cutting angle: approx. 46°. Marking: ALEX MATHIESON & SON, WARRANTED with half-moon & star, "CAST STEEL" below.
