Scrub Plane / Rabbet Plane
Wood 18.3 × 3.3 cm, 2.4 cm high. Sides rounded. Top edges rounded, chip opening and wooden wedge. In front of the chip opening and as a chip breaker is a bronze plate 77 × 21 mm, 3 mm thick with a rounding in the middle top. Back flat. In the flat sole center is a recessed bronze plate 65 × 28 mm with a cutout for the iron. Mouth 4 × 21 mm. Two wooden sliders 3.3 × 8.1 × 0.7 cm with embedded bronze slot plates 5 × 31 mm, movable against the iron center with two screws each. These little wooden pieces are beveled 45° at the bottom (together forming 90°). The edge can be planed 0.7 to 2 cm wide.
With this plane, edges on the inner curve can also be planed.
