Cooper’s Plane (Mannsloch plane)

Body 3.4 cm wide at the top and 1 cm high at the lower edge, widening to 5.3 cm at the sole. Top edges rounded; front and rear edges chamfered. Top flat, with a small horn set into a 1.6 × 1.2 cm mortise, 4 cm high, rounded upward with a rounded cap facing forward. Wooden wedge. Shaving slot open on the right. Sole curved, radius approx. 20 cm on the left and approx. 24 cm on the right.

Iron: 40 mm, set slightly askew; shaft 18 mm; cutting angle ∠ approx. 45°.

Inscription: “A W o a 8 29 S J.” Ornate.
