Grooving & Tongue Plane for Parquet Flooring. Cuts to the right on both sides. Edges lightly rounded and line-decorated. On both sides, the upper and lower surfaces have a groove and rounding. Wooden strips 21.5 × 3 × 0.7 cm are glued on both sides.
Groove side: Stepped by 0.5 and 0.8 cm, tapering by 0.6 cm down to the two-part iron tongue (214 × 25 × 1.5 mm) fixed with five screws. A screw with Ø 10 mm head serves as a lateral support for the grooving iron. Distance to the fixed side fence: 0.4 cm.
Tongue side: Lower wooden tongue 0.4 cm thick, groove 0.3 cm wide and 0.5 cm deep. Side fence made of 0.3 cm wood. Shaving slots on the right. Two wooden wedges set in opposing directions. The wedge for the grooving iron is stepped at the rear.
Cut dimensions: Groove depth 0.7 cm. Tongue 0.25 cm wide and 0.5 cm high.
This plane is suitable for parquet strips with the upper section planed down to the shaving slot:
10 mm strip thickness → 1 mm extra wood remaining on top
