Fiber Plane

Router plane for vertical longitudinal cuts.
Aluminum U-profile, 270×55 mm as sole with 8×11 mm side supports.
On the left, two lugs 22/18 and 22/25 mm, 32 mm high with 8 mm cross-holes and 5 mm clamping screws on top. These lugs are flush on the outside with a longitudinal wall (85×8×28 mm), connected by five 5 mm threads.

On the right, a 82×6 mm slot is cut into the sole. In the middle to the right of that, a lug with 5 mm thread. All of this is cast in one piece.

On the slanted longitudinal wall, a 70 mm long, 3×21 mm steel flat bar is screwed on as a blade holder, which is additionally pressed in the middle with a 20 mm long, 5 mm screw into a small lug.

Rear wooden handle: 6×2.4×11 cm with long screw.
Front knob: 4.8/2.1 cm, 9 cm high, attached with inserted wood screw.

Side fence (left) with side knife.
Sole side: 257×5 mm.
Fence: 257/230×5 mm with longitudinal reinforcement rib in the middle and two round 18 mm high lugs with vertical 8 mm holes (21 mm deep, closed at the bottom) and 5 mm threaded holes for 5 mm clamping screws.

On the underside is another blade holder as above.
Two 8 mm rods, bent at right angles, each 55 mm high and 28 mm long, secured with clamping screws allow for vertical blade use in the router plane, enabling vertical cuts with depth between 8 and 30 mm from the edge (depending on blade setting).

Using the fence blade allows for crosscuts from the side, with depth adjustable from 0 to 12 mm.

The plane allows for the creation of an edge cutout for gluing in a hardwood strip as edge reinforcement.
