The sole extends forward. There is a front horn (handle) and a wooden wedge. An inlay is set into the sole in front of the mouth.

The double iron is about 48 mm wide with a round-head screw, and the cutting angle is approximately 48°. The markings read “PEUGEOT FRÈRES” (with a lion on an arrow) and “A. GARANTIE.” The cap iron is marked “ACIER.”
