Rabbet Plane – Projecting Sole

Sole projects forward; horn and upper edges are rounded. Left side has two longitudinal grooves. Right side has one longitudinal groove, with a 2 cm deep, 1 cm wide recess up to the iron.

The iron bed has a horn-shaped cast piece (38 × 30 × 24 mm) screwed on at the rear top. Cap iron measures 110 × 40/29 × 0–11 mm with 8 mm thread and a 30 mm long screw with a 15 mm diameter head. Thread is Whitworth 55° 18G 5/16″. The screw presses on a 56 × 17 mm spring. The cap iron is held by a 6.5 mm screw in the wooden iron seat.

Depth stop: 2 cm; maximum cutting width: 40 mm.
