Grooving Plane with Bronze Rods
Top edges rounded with line decoration. Wooden wedge; chip opening on the right. Bronze tongue 240 × 45 × 2 mm, split in two, 0.6 cm inserted in the slot, fixed with five bronze screws.
Depth adjuster is a bronze flat iron approx. 120 × 26 × 3 mm with a slot. The shaft has a 60° bevel, guided in a 2.6 cm wide nut, blocked by the front rod screw. The lower bronze flat iron (15 mm) bends horizontally against the tongue.
Depth adjustment range: 0 to 2 cm. Side fence wood 24 × 2.3 × 3.2 cm, rounded at the bottom with two holes for the rods. Rods are locked by wooden wedges (11.5 × 1.3/1.8 × 0.8 cm) in vertical slots (1.2 × 0.8 cm) in the wooden fence.
Two rods (21 × 2.5 × 2.4 cm) have curves facing inward. Secured on the right side of the plane body by a 70 mm long, 6 mm screw with bronze round head, 5 mm tightening hole, and a square nut hidden on the rod.
Side fence adjustable from 0.5 to 20 cm.
