Manhole Plane

Body made from a single piece. Left side flat, top edges rounded. Wedge/iron slot slanted; right side recessed 3.2–4 cm over a top width of 3.9 cm, with wedged shaving slot, open at top. Underside parallel to sole radius, 2.2 cm wide, rounded. Sole radius: right 40 cm, left 35 cm. Shaving slot open on the right, 0.1 × 4.7 cm, slanted 13°. The 1.4 cm wide sole opening beside the iron serves as depth stop to the outer edge of the cut manhole.

Iron: 49 mm, slanted; shaft 16 mm; cutting angle ∠ approx. 48°.
