The teeth in the center of the wheel are about 2 mm wide, the wheels about 8 mm. The chain is endless, about 175 mm long, and rests on the smaller gear diameter. The teeth engage through the chain. Chain width 6 mm. Between the wheels, the chain is guided in lightly greased wooden slots. At the left end of the screws, bronze buttons with a diameter of 15/22 mm are attached. The bronze sleeves, with a good 2 mm wall thickness, have 5 mm wide slots approximately 140 mm long at the bottom. Between the screws and the sleeves, there is a nut in the stop, which is prevented from turning by two screws from below in the board.
